The working principle of the high flow multi cartridge filter housing is to utilize the principle of physical interception. When the water flow enters through the filter inlet, the fluid is forced through the multiple layers of filter media inside the high flow cartridge. The microstructure of these media forms numerous fine channels that allow water molecules and small molecule solutes to pass through, while retaining impurities such as particles and suspended solids that are larger than the pore size of the filter element.
As the run time increases, impurities accumulate on the filter cartridge to form a cake. When the cartridge is close to saturation or the differential pressure reaches a set point, needs to be cleaned or replaced in time to maintain consistent filtration performance.
