How does AYATER bag filter housing work?

 

The contaminated liquid enters the filter through the flange inlet and passes through the filter bag supported by a perforated filter basket. Contaminants and impurities are trapped inside the filter bag, through which clean liquid passes through and exits through the filter outlet. The filter basket retains the differential pressure generated by the operation of the filter to protect the efficient performance of the filter bag during long-term operation.

 

It is important to note that after a long period of work, the bag may become clogged with contaminants or even wear and tear. At this time, the bag needs to be cleaned or replaced to avoid affecting the filtration effect. Simply loosen the bolts, open the seal, and the bag can be easily removed.

Types of bag filter housings
 

1. Divided according to the number of filter bags

Single bag filter housing: This means that only a single filter bag is used inside the filter to complete the fluid purification process. If a single bag is used, the size of the filter housing is designed to be correspondingly smaller, so it has the advantages of small footprint, simple structure, easy internal cleaning and low cost. The downside is the limited filtration area, which can only meet general flow requirements and small applications.

 

Multi bag filter: This refers to the use of 2 or more bags inside the filter for filtration. Including 2 bag filter housings, 4 bag filter housings, etc. Standard products can hold up to 24 bags, and customized products can hold up to 40 bags. Ideal for high-flow applications, these filters provide high filtration efficiency and long-term consistent performance.

2. Divided according to The Housing material

Carbon steel bag filter housing: Made of carbon steel material, this material has high strength and good thermal conductivity. The disadvantage is that it has poor corrosion resistance and is prone to rust. It is suitable for some occasions where corrosion resistance is not high. Anti-rust treatment is required if necessary.

 

Stainless bag filter housing: made of stainless steel materials, such as 304, 316L, etc. This material has excellent corrosion resistance and strength to withstand high pressures to meet demanding filtration applications.

3. Divided according to the flow direction

Side entry bag filter housing: Designed with side-in, side-out or side-in, bottom-out construction, designed to provide convenient filtration process handling. The liquid enters through the side of the filter, flows evenly through the bag, and exits through the side or bottom outlet.

 

Top entry bag filter housing: Designed with an up-in, bottom-out structure to provide an optimal flow path for the fluid. This design makes the sealing mechanism better and reduces the possibility of bypass. The right product can be selected according to the type of equipment and needs.

4. Other common types

Duplex bag filter housing: Consists of two single bag filter housings connected in parallel by a butterfly valve or ball valve assembly and is designed to provide continuous filtration. When one filter needs to be repaired, the other filter remains unaffected and continues to operate efficiently.

 

Sanitary bag filter housing: Hygienic standard design and electropolished surface treatment ensure a hygienic and sterile filtration process. It is suitable for industries with high cleanliness requirements, such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical, etc.
