Product Introduction

The function of the coalescer separator cartridge is to remove solid and liquid contaminants from the oil. It is mainly designed for liquid-liquid separation and consists of two types of filter elements, coalescing filter element and separator filter element. It is often used in oil-water separation systems, such as coalescer type oil purifier.

The coalescing filter element is made of a variety of composite materials processed by a special process, which is hydrophilic. It can not only filter out impurities in the oil, but also separate the emulsified water from the oil through demulsification and coalescence, and coalesce into larger water droplets, so as to further realize the purification of the fluid.

The separator filter element is made of Teflon material after special processing, which has good hydrophobicity. As the fluid passes through the cartridge, water droplets are kept out, while clean, waterless oil can pass through and flow out of the outlet.

Working Principle

Coalescer filter cartridge and separator cartridges are typically installed in the same filtration system. When the system is started, the oil to be filtered flows through the coalescing filter element from the inside out, and the solid impurities are filtered out and discharged by the blowdown valve. At the same time, the tiny droplets coalesce into larger droplets. Most of the coalesced water droplets can be separated from the oil by their own weight and settled into the sump. The oil is then passed through the separator cartridge from the outside in, which further separates the water. Through the above steps, the coalescence separation process can be completed.
