Products Description
Our Printing Ink Phenolic Resin Filter Cartridge is a resin-bonded, depth-type cartridge that pairs an external spiral pre-wrap with an internally graded filter matrix. The construction is optimized for viscous liquids (inks, coatings, adhesives and heavy solvents), providing high dirt-holding capacity, minimal fiber migration and robust chemical/thermal resistance for stable, repeatable filtration in production environments.

Key Benefits
✅ Superior particle capture with progressive depth filtration - outer layers trap large agglomerates while inner, finer layers secure sub-micron particulate.
✅ Rigid, resin-reinforced construction - resists collapse and bypass in high-viscosity fluids and under pressure cycling.
✅ Wide chemical compatibility for inks and solvents - suitable for many hydrocarbon and alcohol-based systems; see compatibility table below.
✅ Scalable and configurable - standard industrial lengths and micron ratings plus customizable seals and end-cap options for retrofit.

Customer Stories
✅ Customer: A major packaging printing company based in Germany.
Challenge: Frequent clogging of standard filter cartridges when processing high-pigment UV inks, resulting in downtime and inconsistent print quality.
Solution: Implementation of our 1µm phenolic resin filter cartridges in their ink circulation system.
Results:
- 40% increase in cartridge service life compared to previous filters.
- Significant reduction in unplanned downtime.
- Improved print consistency and color brilliance.
✅ Customer: A specialty ink manufacturer in Ohio, USA.
Challenge: Removing sub-micron contaminants from recovered solvents without causing high pressure drops or fiber shedding.
Solution: Deployment of our 5µm graded-density phenolic resin cartridges in their solvent reclamation process.
Results:
- Achieved consistent filtration of solvents to <5µm particulate level.
- Reduced waste disposal costs by enabling reuse of high-purity solvent.
- No fiber shedding detected post-filtration, protecting downstream processes.

FAQ
Q: Are these cartridges compatible with UV and solvent-based inks?
A: Yes-commonly compatible; we recommend a quick trial with your specific formulation.
Q: What change-out ΔP do you recommend?
A: ~35 psi (2.4 bar) is a typical guideline; adjust based on your process and ΔP trend.
Q: How does this compare to melt-blown or pleated cartridges?
A: Compared with melt-blown or pleated elements, resin-bonded phenolic cartridges offer greater structural rigidity, higher particle load capacity in viscous fluids and lower risk of media migration-advantages in many ink and coating services.
