Rigid Resin Bonded Cartridge Filter

Rigid resin bonded cartridge filter - High-integrity depth filter for high-viscosity, high-load industrial liquids.

Products Description

The rigid resin bonded cartridge filter is a single-piece, phenolic/melamine-resin-impregnated depth cartridge engineered for stable, long-life particle removal in demanding industrial fluids - paints, inks, adhesives, resins, emulsions, solvents and oilfield fluids. Its rigid, graded-porosity structure delivers high dirt-holding capacity, minimal media migration and consistent capture efficiency across a broad range of micron ratings.

How it works

The cartridge operates outside-in through a depth filter matrix. Fluid enters the outer surface where larger particles and agglomerates are intercepted by the coarser outer zones. As fluid progresses radially inward, the graded pore structure progressively removes finer particulates, retaining them within the media body rather than on the surface. This progressive capture increases overall dirt loading, reduces frequency of change-outs and maintains stable flow with low, predictable pressure rise.

Features & Benefits

✅ Rigid, resin-bonded matrix - resists collapse under pressure and viscosity.
✅ Graded porosity - captures large agglomerates outside, fine particles inside.
✅ Grooved/spiral outer profile - greater surface area, lower instantaneous ΔP.
✅ Wide micron range (1–200 µm) - fits prefilter to polishing duties.
✅ Multiple end-fit options - drop-in replacement for common housings.
✅ Coreless, single-piece design - simple handling and disposal.
✅ Customizable on request - lengths, ratings, seals and test documentation.

FAQ

Q: Are these cartridges suitable for very viscous liquids (e.g., heavy coatings, resins)?

A: Yes. The rigid resin-bonded matrix resists collapse and deformation in high-viscosity fluids; specify the appropriate micron rating and confirm flow targets during sizing.

Q: How do I size for flow rate?

A: Cartridge flow capacity depends on micron rating, fluid viscosity and cartridge length. As an initial reference, a 10″ cartridge typically supports several liters per minute for low-viscosity liquids; provide your fluid data and target retention and we'll calculate a recommended housing and cartridge count.

Q: Do they shed fibers?

A: Properly manufactured resin bonded cartridges exhibit negligible fiber migration owing to the resin encapsulation of long fibers.
